Terms of Service
The terms on which we make this website available, and how they sit alongside the agreement that governs actual project work.
Last updated 30 August 2026
1. Accepting these terms
By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. We suggest you read them alongside our privacy policy and cookie policy, which form part of them.
2. Who we are
This website is operated by Scarfold Group, an information technology company based at No. 8 Turkey Avenue, Community 14, Ghana. Where these terms say "we", "us" or "our", they mean Scarfold Group. Where they say "you", they mean the person using the site.
3. What these terms cover
These terms govern your use of this website only. They are not the terms on which we deliver work.
Every engagement, whether a forensic investigation, a security assessment, a development project, a tracking deployment or a monitoring installation, is governed by a separate written agreement covering scope, deliverables, timelines, fees, confidentiality, intellectual property and liability for that specific piece of work. Where that agreement and these terms differ, the signed agreement takes precedence for everything to do with the engagement.
4. Using this website
You may read, browse and print pages of this site for your own use. You may not:
- use the site for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of any applicable law;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server, or any connected system or network;
- probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the site without our written permission;
- introduce malware, or anything else designed to damage or disrupt the site;
- place a disproportionate load on our infrastructure, whether by automated means or otherwise;
- scrape, harvest or systematically extract content from the site; or
- submit anything through our forms that is unlawful, abusive, deceptive or misrepresents who you are.
We may restrict or withdraw access to the site from anyone who does any of these, without notice.
We say this without irony given what we do for a living: if you find a security weakness in this site, we would genuinely like to hear about it. Write to info@scarfoldgroup.com rather than testing it further, and we will work with you.
5. Our content
Unless stated otherwise, the content of this site, including its text, layout, design, graphics and code, belongs to Scarfold Group or is used with permission, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights.
The Scarfold Group name and logo are ours. Nothing on this site grants you a licence to use them.
Project images on this site show work delivered for clients and are published with their permission. The systems, branding and content shown within them belong to those clients, not to you or to us, and may not be reproduced.
You may quote or link to our pages with attribution. You may not republish substantial parts of the site, or present our content as your own, without written permission.
6. Enquiries and quotations
Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance. Descriptions of our services are there to tell you what we do, not to fix the terms on which we will do it.
Sending an enquiry does not create a contract and does not oblige us to take on the work. A contract is formed only when scope and cost have been agreed in writing and the relevant agreement is signed. Any indication of cost or timing given before that point is an estimate based on what we have been told, and is subject to a proper scoping exercise.
7. Sensitive matters
The enquiry form is a normal web form. It is transmitted securely, but it is not a secure channel for the details of a live incident, a dispute, or an investigation.
If your matter is sensitive, keep the form brief, say that it is sensitive, and we will arrange an appropriate channel before you send anything further. We treat enquiries as confidential in practice, but a formal duty of confidentiality arises under a signed agreement or a non-disclosure agreement, not from the act of filling in a form.
8. Availability and accuracy
We aim to keep this site available and current, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from anything harmful. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it at any time without notice.
The content is provided for general information. It is not professional, legal or security advice, and it should not be relied on as a substitute for advice about your own circumstances. Get in touch and we will advise you properly on the facts of your situation.
9. Our liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website, or from reliance on anything published on it. This includes loss of profit, loss of business, loss of data and any indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
Our liability for work we carry out for clients is dealt with in the agreement for that work, not here.
10. Links to other sites
This site links to third-party services, including WhatsApp and Google Maps. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, their availability or their handling of your information. Their own terms and privacy policies apply once you follow the link.
11. Privacy
How we handle personal information is set out in our privacy policy. What this site loads and stores in your browser is set out in our cookie policy. The short version is that we set no cookies and run no trackers.
12. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published here is the one that applies, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of this site.
14. Contact
Questions about these terms are welcome at info@scarfoldgroup.com or +233 24 077 7905, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
